Beginner Guide

How to Start From Scratch

Your complete step-by-step guide to creating short-form videos, from account setup to your first upload

Before You Begin

This guide assumes you are completely new to video creation. We will walk through every step from account setup to uploading your first video. The entire process takes approximately 15-20 minutes for your first video.

Step 1: Create Your Account

Start by creating a free account. This gives you immediate access to video templates and 2 free credits per day.

Account Setup

  1. 1Click Sign Up in the top navigation
  2. 2Enter your email address and create a password
  3. 3You will automatically receive 2 credits to start creating immediately

Important: Daily credits must be claimed each day. If you do not claim your credits, they expire and cannot be recovered. Make sure to claim daily to maximize your free credits.

Step 2: Choose Your Video Format

Decide which social media platforms you want to target. This helps you understand what to expect from the videos you create.

YouTube Shorts

9:16 ratio, 120 seconds max

Best for: Discovery through Shorts shelf

TikTok

9:16 ratio, 60 seconds ideal

Best for: Viral potential on For You page

Instagram Reels

9:16 ratio, 90 seconds max

Best for: Engagement with existing followers

Good news: Videos from this platform work across all three platforms. The 9:16 vertical format and resolution are standardized. Create once and upload to multiple platforms to maximize reach.

Step 3: Generate Your First Video

Now for the fun part. Navigate to the generation page and create your first video.

Template Selection

  1. 1Go to the Generate page
  2. 2Browse available templates

Free accounts have access to a few templates. Each template preview shows you exactly what type of video it creates. For your first video, we recommend Circle Bounce Grow or Ball Clash as they are straightforward and engaging.

  3. 3Click on your chosen template

This takes you to the customization page for that specific template.

Customization Options

Each template offers different customization options. Common settings include:

  • Color schemes (change the main colors used in the animation)
  • Physics parameters (speed, gravity, bounce intensity)
  • Audio settings (background music, sound effects)
  • Quick editing (templates allow minor editing)

For your first video, the default settings work well. You can experiment with customization once you understand the basic process.

Generation Process

  1. 1Click the Generate button at the bottom of the page
  2. 2Wait for the generation to finish
  3. 3Wait 1-2 minutes for rendering to complete (do not close the browser tab)
  4. 4When complete, a download button and auto-upload to Youtube appears

Important: Rendering happens in your browser using your computer's processing power. Keep the tab open and avoid starting other resource-intensive tasks during generation.

Step 4: Download and Review

Once your video finishes rendering, download it and review the result before uploading to social platforms. Or auto upload directly to YouTube if you have connected your account.

Download Process

  1. 1Click the Download button when rendering completes
  2. 2The video saves to your default downloads folder as an MP4 file
  3. 3Open the video file on your computer or phone to preview it
  4. 4Verify the video plays correctly and looks as expected

If you are not satisfied with the result, generate another version with different settings. Each generation costs the specified amount of credits.

Step 5: Upload to Social Media

The final step is uploading your video to your chosen social platform. Here are platform-specific guidelines.

Upload Basics

YouTube Shorts

  • • Open YouTube mobile app or desktop creator studio
  • • Click the plus icon and select Upload video
  • • Choose your video file (the system automatically detects it as a Short)
  • • Add a title, description, and relevant hashtags
  • • Set visibility (public, unlisted, or private)

TikTok

  • • Open TikTok app on your mobile device
  • • Tap the plus icon to create a new post
  • • Select Upload and choose your video file

  • • Choose who can view, comment, and duet your video

Instagram Reels

  • • Open Instagram app
  • • Tap the plus icon and select Reel
  • • Upload your video from camera roll
  • • Add caption, hashtags, and location if desired
  • • Share to your feed and/or just Reels tab

Pro tip: Each platform has peak posting times when your audience is most active. Research your specific niche to find optimal upload schedules. Generally, early mornings, lunch hours, and evenings perform well.

Quick Reference Checklist

Use this checklist for every video you create:

Account has available credits
Template selected and customized
Video generated and downloaded
Video reviewed and quality confirmed
Platform-specific title and description prepared
Relevant hashtags or keywords added
Upload completed and video is live

Common Mistakes to Avoid

Closing the browser during rendering

Keep the browser tab open and active while the video generates. Closing it will cancel the rendering process.

Not reviewing before uploading

Always preview your video before posting. Verify it looks and sounds as expected to avoid posting content you are not satisfied with.

Using default titles and descriptions

Take time to write compelling titles and descriptions. These significantly impact discoverability and click-through rates.

Forgetting to claim daily credits

Daily credits must be claimed each day or they expire. Set a reminder to claim your credits daily to avoid losing them.

Posting only on one platform

The same video works across YouTube Shorts, TikTok, and Instagram Reels. Maximize reach by uploading to all relevant platforms.
